Teaseday
Mmmmmmm…
70 degrees of bliss kissed my skin
right smack dab in the middle of March.
I arched in approval, tasting April’s
anticipation with freshly thawed lips.
Knowing deep of its fleeting creep,
I still marvelled at the effortless pull,
Storing away all things flannel and wool.
This was all we needed to happen
on this Tease, uh Tuesday, lips still smackin’ from the
chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat toast
and an ice cold glass of sweet lemonade…
basking in the glory of a sundrenched shade.
Don’t even ponder tomorrow’s 40 something sorrow
Cause you know like i know
how this shit goes in Chicago.
For me, today, was like, my idea
of the best way to enjoy a movie.
Don’t analyze or anticipate what’s about to happen
or how it’s gonna end…just let it take you…ease you…tease you.
